Catcher James McCann on disabled list by the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday morning.
McCann is on the 15-day DL with a right ankle sprain suffered in Monday’s 7-4 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
The Tigers immediately announced the corresponding move, purchasing the contract of veteran catcher Bobby Wilson from Triple-A Toledo.
Wilson was acquired in the Bryan Holaday trade with the Texas Rangers.
