The California Golden Bears have fired head football coach Jeff Tedford, according to a CBSSports.com report.
Tedford spent 11 seasons with at the school, and compiled nine winning seasons.
Tedford took over a program that was coming off a 1-10 record in 2001, and went 7-5 in his first year. He took the team to a 10-2 mark in his third season, and finished No. 9 in the country.
But Cal went just 9-18 in conference play in the past three seasons, including a 2-7 mark in the Pac-12 this year. They were outscored 121-31 in their final two games to the Oregon schools.
