Phoenix on Monday signed first-round pick Devin Booker, the 13th overall selection of the 2015 NBA draft.
Booker has been playing with the Suns’ Summer League team in Las Vegas. Considered an elite shooter, Booker is averaging 8.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in two Summer League games.
As a freshman with Kentucky this past season, the 6-foot-6 guard earned Sixth Man of the Year honors while connecting on more than 41 percent of his 3-point attempts.
His father, Melvin, was a point guard who played for the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors.
