Phoenix Suns forward Markieff Morris was fined $10,000 by the NBA on Tuesday for what was called a public statement detrimental to the league.
The NBA acknowledged that the offending statement concerned Morris expressing a desire to be traded by the Suns.
Morris has spent the past four seasons with the Suns and has career averages of 11.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
