Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh hired a new agent, according to Sports Business Daily.
Suh hired Jimmy Sexton of CAA Sports. He had been looking for new representation since firing Eugene Parker and Roosevelt Barnes of Relativity Sports in January.
There was speculation that Suh would hire rapper Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports or perhaps represent himself.
Roc Nation still could handle part of Suh’s representation but not his free agent or contract negotiations.
Suh has one year left on his five-year deal with the Lions. He is due $22.4 million against the team’s salary cap beginning Tuesday. The Lions want to sign Suh to a long-term extension, according to ESPN.com.
