The Philadelphia 76ers signed guard Darius Johnson-Odom to a 10-day contract Friday.
Johnson-Odom averaged 22.0 points, 6.1 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 27 games with the Springfield Armor of the NBA Development League this season. He is one of only two players to rank in the league’s top-eight in scoring and assists.
Johnson-Odom played collegiately at Marquette. He was a second-round draft choice of the Dallas Mavericks in 2012. The Mavericks traded his rights to the Los Angeles Lakers. He spent part of 2012-13 with the Lakers but finished the season playing in Russia.
In a related move, the Sixers waived guard Lorenzo Brown. He averaged 2.5 points and 1.6 assists in 26 games with Philadelphia this season.
