The Philadelphia 76ers signed guard Casper Ware to a 10-day contract Monday.
Ware has spent two seasons playing in Italy since graduating from Long Beach State in 2012. He played the 2012-13 season with A.S. Junior Casale and was named MVP of Legadue Basket. This season, he played for Virtus Bologna of Lega Basket Serie A.
Ware was named an honorable mention All-American by the Associated Press his senior season at Long Beach State. He finished his collegiate career as the 49ers’ all-time leader in assists.
Also, guard Darius Johnson-Odom’s 10-day contract with the Sixers expired.
