Wide receiver Brett Swain signed a two-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks following a tryout with the team. Swain, 27, was originally a seventh-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in 2008 and caught six passes for the Packers in 2010.
He saw action with the San Francisco 49ers in 2011, catching two passes, but failed to make the team out of training camp last year.
Swain likely faces a tough battle to make the Seahawks’ roster as well. The team features Sidney Rice and Golden Tate to go with offseason acquisition Percy Harvin and third-year slot receiver Doug Baldwin. Also on the roster leading up to the NFL Draft are Phil Bates, Jermaine Kearse, Charly Martin, Bryan Walters and Stephen Williams.
