Saints agree to deal with LB Humber


The New Orleans Saints agreed to terms on a one-year contract with inside linebacker Ramon Humber on Friday.

Humber tied a career-high with 24 tackles (17 solo), split a sack and broke up one pass in playing all 16-regular-season games. On special teams, he had nine tackles and recovered onside kicks in two straight games. In two playoff games, he had eight special-teams tackles, including a postseason career-high seven stops (five solo) in the divisional playoff against the Seattle Seahawks.

Humber started his NFL career as an undrafted free agent of the Indianapolis Colts in 2009. He joined the Saints in 2010. In 63 games, he has 71 tackles (42 solo), 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups and one forced fumble. On special teams, he has 52 tackles.
