Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is not expected to play Friday night against the Toronto Raptors because of a hamstring injury.
Coach Tom Thibodeau announced that Rose was “unlikely” to play after Rose missed practice Thursday and sat out of Friday’s shootaround. He was injured during Monday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Rose said Thursday that the injury is only minor.
“It’s not a concern at all,” he said. “I think everything I do or if I get hurt, it can be anything, it’s going to be blown out of proportion. I’m doing fine and it shouldn’t be anything to worry about.”
Rose is averaging 14.7 points and 4.5 assists in six games after missing all of last season recovering from an ACL injury.
