San Diego Padres right-hander Andrew Cashner was scratched from his scheduled start Monday against the San Francisco Giants because of shoulder soreness, according to CBSSports.com.
Cuban defector Odrisamer Despaigne was recalled from Triple-A El Paso to start in Cashner’s place.
Cashner recently missed a month due to an elbow injury. He is 2-6 with a 2.36 ERA in 12 starts this season.
