The Green Bay Packers and safety Morgan Burnett reached agreement on a four-year contract extension worth $24.75 million, the NFL Network reported.
According to the report, $8.25 million is guaranteed.
Burnett, a third-round draft pick in 2010, was heading into the final season of his rookie contract and could have become a free agent in March if he had not signed an extension.
He has started all 16 games in each of the last two seasons for the Packers. Burnett had two sacks and two interceptions in 2012.
