Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz will not be suspended for destroying a phone with his bat during a dugout tirade Saturday, according to the Boston Globe.

Major League Baseball decided a suspension was not necessary after reviewing the incident.

After arguing a strikeout with home plate umpire Tim Timmons in the seventh inning of Saturday’s game against the host Baltimore Orioles, Ortiz returned to the dugout and smashed a clubhouse phone with his bat. He was then ejected from the game and had to be restrained by teammates and coaches as he yelled at umpires on the field.

The Red Sox went on to beat the Orioles 7-3.
