Linebacker Karlos Dansby wasn’t out of work for very long. He gets to stay in the AFC North and doesn’t have to travel very far to his new job.
Released by the Cleveland Browns on March 16, the 12-year veteran and the Cincinnati Bengals have hammered out a deal, which Dansby is expected to sign on Tuesday.
Dansby led the Browns in 2015, compiling 108 combined tackles, three interceptions, two defensive touchdowns and two forced fumbles.
After being released, Dansby predicted Cincinnati might be a landing spot. “It’s time for me to go get a ring. This is going to get me closer to my destiny and I’m cool with that. … I think the Bengals are licking their chops right now. I hope they are.”
Dansby has spent time with the Cardinals, Dolphins and Browns during his 12 year NFL career.
