The Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors are actively discussing a trade involving forward Rudy Gay, according to an ESPN.com report.
No framework has been established, however, and the Grizzlies maintain that they feel no pressure to deal Gay or another high-salaried player before the Feb. 21 trade deadline.
“We really like our team,” Grizzlies CEO Jason Levien told reporters late last week, adding that the team is more likely to “do nothing” regarding seperating the quartet of Gay, point guard Mike Conley, forward Zach Randolph and center Marc Gasol.
The Raptors remain in pursuit, sources told ESPN.com, and have made point guard Jose Calderon and forward Ed Davis available.
