Redskins re-sign Polumbus

The Washington Redskins have re-signed offensive tackle Tyler Polumbus for a third season with the team.

The Redskins didn’t announce the terms, but Polumbus tweeted Monday that he signed for “2 more years.”

The 27-year-old started 15 regular-season games at right tackle, and helped the Redskins earn their first rushing title since 1933, with 2,709 yards. Washington also became the first team in NFL history to pass for at least 3,400 yards and rush for 2,700 yards in one season.

Polumbus joins fellow offensive right tackles Tony Pashos and Jeremy Trueblood, who recently signed with the Redskins.
