Cincinnati Reds right-hander Mat Latos was scratched from his scheduled rehab start for Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.
No explanation was given as to why Latos couldn’t start Tuesday in Columbus.
The Reds said manager Brian Price will address the pitcher’s status.
Latos did not pitch in a spring training game and had offseason surgery on his right elbow and his left meniscus. Following one rehab start with Double-A Pensacola, allowing five runs in four innings, he was scheduled to pitch Tuesday night for Louisville.
Also Tuesday, right-handed reliever Jonathan Broxton was activated from the disabled list to replace right-hander Trevor Bell. Bell was placed on the 15-day disabled list with elbow inflammation.
