The Baltimore Ravens have been unable to reach an agreement with fullback Vonta Leach on a restructured contract, and, as a result, the Ravens are expected to release or trade Leach this week, the Baltimore Sun reported.

Leach, who was named to the Pro Bowl the past two seasons because of his prowess as a blocking back, could be gone as soon as Tuesday.

Leach essentially confirmed his departure from the Ravens when he tweeted, “Thank the Ravens organization for a great two years. I came here and did what we set out to do and that’s win the Super Bowl. My time here is up but what we accomplished, we will forever be linked.”

Leach was due to receive a $3 million base salary and carries a $4.33 million salary-cap figure, according to the Sun.

That means the Ravens will save $3 million against the salary cap but will still carry $1.33 million in dead money from the prorated portion of Leach’s three-year, $11 million contract that included a $4 million signing bonus.

The Ravens drafted Harvard fullback Kyle Juszczyk in the fourth round in April. He figures to be Leach’s replacement.
