Quarterback Vince Young is expected to participate in the Cleveland Browns’ voluntary minicamp this week, according to Houston television station Fox 26.

Young, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 draft, was scheduled to take a physical on Monday for the Browns.

Young has not played in the NFL since 2011. He spent the past two offseasons working out for the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers, but was unable to land a deal.

The Browns’ top options at quarterback are Brian Hoyer and Alex Tanney. Hoyer, however, is still recovering from a torn ACL.

Young, a two-time Pro Bowler with the Tennessee Titans (2006 and ’09), last played with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 as a backup to Michael Vick.
