The Pistons and backup point guard Will Bynum on Monday agreed on a two-year, $5.75 million deal that returns the 30-year-old to Detroit for another year.
Bynum will back up starting point guard Brandon Knight. He averaged 9.8 points per game in only 18.8 minutes of playing time last season.
Re-signing Bynum was a priority for the Pistons after losing guard Jose Calderon to the Dallas Mavericks via free agency.
