Outfielder/first baseman Travis Snider is returning to the Pittsburgh Pirates after his release by the Baltimore Orioles last week.

According to multiple reports, Snider will sign a minor league contract with the Pirates and report to Triple-A Indianapolis.

In 69 games with the Orioles this year, Snider batted .237 with three home runs and 20 RBIs.

The 27-year-old was previously with the Pirates, hitting .243 with 22 home runs and 80 RBIs from 2012 to 2014. Last year, Snider batted .264 with 13 home runs and 38 RBIs in 140 games.

The Orioles designated Snider for assignment and released him on Sunday. He had come to Baltimore in late January in exchange for minor league left-handers Stephen Tarpley and Steven Brault.
