Veteran right-hander Chad Gaudin signed a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training, the Philadelphia Phillies announced Tuesday.

Gaudin, 30, has experience as a starter and reliever.

He was 5-2 with a 3.06 ERA and 1.25 WHIP in 97 innings for the San Francisco Giants last season, but an elbow contusion and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome limited his availability.

Gaudin appeared in 30 games — 12 starts and 18 relief appearances — last season.
