PG Marshall joins Sixers

Point guard Kendall Marshall, who played with three NBA teams the past three seasons, signed with Philadelphia on Wednesday, the 76ers announced.

Marshall, 24, had a stint with the 76ers’ NBA Development League team in 2013-14, averaging 19 points and 10 assists in seven games with the Delaware 87ers.

A first-round pick by the Suns out of North Carolina in 2012, Marshall appeared in 48 games for Phoenix as a rookie, making three starts. He averaged three points and three rebounds.

He played in 54 games, including 45 starts, for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2013-14, averaging eight points, 8.8 assists and 2.9 rebounds.

Last season, Marshall participated in 28 games, including three starts, for the Milwaukee Bucks, producing 4.2 points, 3.1 assists and one rebound per game.

In his final season with the Tar Heels, Marshall set an Atlantic Coast Conference record with 351 assists and captured the Bob Cousy Award as the top point guard in NCAA Division I.
