The New England Patriots traded linebacker Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns for a conditional third-round pick, according to multiple reports Monday.
Collins is in his fourth season out of Southern Mississippi after the Patriots selected him in the second round in 2013. He will be a free agent after the season.
Collins, a 2015 Pro Bowler, has 10.5 career sacks, five interceptions, 10 forced fumbles and 291 tackles.
Collins played in only 48 of 70 defensive snaps against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. For the season, he has 43 tackles with one sack and two interceptions in seven games. He missed Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a hip injury.
The trade is the second one between the Patriots and Browns this season. In August, the Browns traded linebacker Barkevious Mingo to the Patriots for a 2017 fifth-round pick.
