Panthers sign DE Delaire, cut DT Cole

The Carolina Panthers signed defensive end Ryan Delaire from the Washington Redskins’ practice squad on Wednesday and released defensive tackle Colin Cole.

The 6-foot-4, 265-pound Delaire, 23, entered the NFL this season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted rookie free agent from Towson. He was released by the Bucs in the final roster cutdown on Sept. 5 and signed to Washington’s practice squad on Sept. 7.

Cole, 35, started 24 games for the Panthers from 2013-2014. He played in two games this season with one tackle.
