The Panthers are charging into the Super Bowl, prompting Las Vegas to set Carolina as the early favorite in the title game against the Denver Broncos.

According to ESPN.com, the line opened at Panthers by 5.5 points but quickly dropped to Carolina by four points.

Carolina, a three-point favorite over the visiting Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, cruised to a 49-15 victory in the NFC Championship Game.

The Broncos, a three-point home underdog to the New England Patriots on Sunday, held on for a 20-18 victory.

ESPN.com reported that Super Bowl favorites are 32-17 through the years, and that Las Vegas has lost money on just two of the past 26 Super Bowls — the New York Giants’ 2008 upset win over the Patriots and San Francisco 49ers’ blowout of the San Diego Chargers in 1995.

The Panthers and Broncos will meet Feb. 7 in Santa Clara, Calif.
