Pitcher Freddy Garcia signed a minor-league deal with the San Diego Padres, according to multiple reports.
The agreement includes a $1.3 million base salary with another $1.25 million in incentives.
Garcia, 36, posted a 5.20 ERA in 107 1/3 innings for the New York Yankees last season. With the Padres, he’ll compete for a rotation spot with Anthony Bass, Eric Stults, Andrew Cashner and Tyson Ross.
