Packers’ Rodgers says he has a leg injury

Aaron Rodgers’ six-touchdown performance Sunday had one minor downside.

The Green Bay quarterback emerged from the Packers’ 42-24 win over the Houston Texans with a leg injury, he said Tuesday on his ESPN Milwaukee radio show.

He said he was hurt while running the ball late in the game, though he didn’t get into specifics about the ailment. However, there is little chance he’d be hampered for Sunday’s game against the Rams at St. Louis.

Asked if he’d be on the Packers’ injury report this week, Rodgers replied, “Yeah, probably. Maybe. We’ll see.”

Rodgers passed for 338 yards Sunday, and the six touchdown passes tied the franchise record.

“He’s played a lot of great games, but against a very good opponent, an undefeated team, I don’t know if I’ve seen him play better,” Packers offensive coordinator Tom Clements said, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “The playoff game in Atlanta was pretty special, too. He had an outstanding game.”
