The Indiana Pacers announced Monday that they signed free agent guard Rodney Stuckey.
The team did not release terms of the contract.
Last season, Stuckey averaged 13.9 points and 2.1 assists in 73 games with the Detroit Pistons.
“Rodney is a very talented player who can create and score in a variety of ways,” team president of basketball operations Larry Bird said in a statement. “We’re very happy to get a player with his experience and who has made it very clear of his desire to win.”
Stuckey spent the first seven years of his NBA career with the Pistons, averaging 13.4 points and 3.9 assists per game. His best season came in 2009-10 when he averaged 16.6 points and 4.8 assists per contest. He made the NBA’s All-Rookie second team after the 2007-08 season.
The Pistons drafted Stuckey No. 15 overall in 2007.
