The Baltimore Orioles signed right-handed pitcher Evan Meek to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training, the Baltimore Sun reported Wednesday.
Meek, 30, spent five years with the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2008 to 2012, going 7-7 with a 3.34 ERA in 156 relief appearances.
Meek pitched the entire 2013 season with the Texas Rangers’ Triple-A affiliate in Round Rock. He was 6-9 with a 4.50 ERA as both a reliever and starter.
