
The University of Oregon passed LSU for the No. 2 spot in the latest Associated Press college football media poll, which was released Sunday.
Oregon, which defeated previously unbeaten Arizona 49-0 on Saturday, received no first-place votes, but recorded 1,414 total votes. That was 68 more than LSU, which received one first-place vote.
Alabama remained the No. 1 team in the poll for the third consecutive week with 1,499 votes and 59 first-place votes.
The rest of the top 10 is Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, Kanas State, Stanford, West Virginia and Notre Dame.
No. 13 USC remained the highest ranked team with one loss.
Kanas State and Oregon State were the biggest gainers this week. Both moved up eight spots. Kansas State climbed to No. 7 after winning 24-19 at previously No. 6 Oklahoma. Oregon State entered the poll at No. 18 after winning at UCLA 27-20.
Also entering this week’s poll were No. 23 Rutgers and No. 25 Baylor. Michigan, UCLA and Arizona fell out of the poll.
