
The NBA on Tuesday suspended Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard for one game and fined head coach J.B. Bickerstaff $10,000 for criticizing the officials.
With 8:08 left in the fourth quarter of the Rockets 123-122 loss to the Washington Wizards on Jan. 30, Howard made contact and struck the arm of one of the officials.
Bickerstaff made his comments to the media in the postgame news conference
Howard will serve his suspension Tuesday night when the Rockets host the Miami Heat.
