NBA Scores: Raptors rip Wizards for ninth straight

TORONTO — Kyle Lowry scored 29 points, and the Toronto Raptors defeated the Washington Wizards 106-89 Tuesday to tie the franchise record with a ninth consecutive win.

The Raptors also won nine straight in 2002.

DeMar DeRozan added 17 points for Toronto. Terrence Ross contributed 15 points off the bench, and center Jonas Valanciunas scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Reserve guard Cory Joseph chipped in with 10 points and six assists.

Heat 102, Nets 98

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh combined for 54 points to help lead Miami to the victory.

Bosh had 27 points, five rebounds and four assists, Wade had 27 points and eight assists, forward Justise Winslow had 13 points off the bench and forward Loul Dang had 10 points for the Heat.

Andrea Bargnani, who was listed as questionable because of an illness, erupted for 13 of his team-high 20 points in the second quarter for the Nets, who suffered their sixth loss in their last seven games.

Clippers 91, Pacers 89

INDIANAPOLIS — Chris Paul scored 26 points, including a clutch jumper with 33.7 seconds remaining, and Los Angeles defeated a struggling Indiana squad.

J.J. Redick added 19 for the Clippers, who made 15 of 37 shots from 3-point range while the Pacers were five of 16 from beyond the arc.

Paul George had 31 for the Pacers, who are 3-17 when trailing after three quarters.

Sixers 113, Suns 103

PHILADELPHIA — Ish Smith had 20 points and nine assists as Philadelphia beat Phoenix in a meeting of two of the NBA’s worst teams.

Robert Covington added 19 points and Nik Stauskas had 15 for Philadelphia, which is 4-17 at home and 7-39 overall, both worst in the league. The Sixers, who are 6-9 since opening the season 1-30, won for the third time in five games.

Philadelphia center Nerlens Noel contributed 14 points, nine rebounds, three blocked shots and three steals.
