Will Muschamp will not return as Florida’s coach next season.

The school announced Sunday that Muschamp will coach the Gators’ final two games of the season before being let go.

Muschamp is 27-20 in four seasons, including 17-15 in the SEC. The Gators are 5-4 this year and coming off a 23-20 overtime loss to South Carolina on Saturday. Florida has lost six of its last eight home games.

Muschamp has three years and $6 million left on his contract.

The loss to South Carolina was reportedly the final straw as Florida decided at that point to oust Muschamp after the season.

–Georgia running back Todd Gurley is expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Gurley left Saturday’s 34-7 victory over Auburn with a knee injury on his final carry of the game. Georgia feared the injury was a torn anterior cruciate ligament, which was confirmed by medical personnel Sunday.

–Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson suffered a shoulder injury during the Irish’s humbling overtime loss to Northwestern on Saturday, and coach Brian Kelly does not know what Golson’s status is for Notre Dame’s next game.

Kelly said on Sunday that Golson has a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder and that the injury occurred during Saturday’s game.

–Michigan defensive end Frank Clark was arrested and jailed in Erie County (Ohio) on a domestic violence charge Sunday, according to USA Today.

Clark also pleaded guilty to a felony second-degree home invasion charge in September 2012 after he stole a laptop from another student’s dorm room that June.

This season, Clark has 42 tackles, including 13.5 for loss, and 4.5 sacks.

–Alabama’s victory over Mississippi State on Saturday caused significant changes at the top of the latest Associated Press top 25 poll.

Florida State moved up from second to take over the No. 1 spot after coming from behind to beat Miami.

Alabama knocked Mississippi State out of the top spot. The Crimson Tide moved up from fourth to No. 2. The Bulldogs fell to No. 4.

TCU rounded out the top five.
