Carrasco struck out seven and did not give up a walk for the Indians), who have split the first two games of a three-game series against the Blue Jays in a rematch of last season’s AL Championship Series.
Mike Bolsinger allowed three hits, four walks and two runs over 5 2/3 innings in his first start for the Blue Jays after having his contract selected from Triple-A Buffalo.

NEW YORK — Zack Wheeler threw six strong innings and New York scored four runs in the first inning to beat San Francisco.
Neil Walker hit a two-run triple and Michael Conforto homered for the Mets, who have won eight of their last 11 games.

CINCINNATI — Joey Votto’s two-run single highlighted a five-run second inning and Cincinnati held off New York.
Billy Hamilton also had a two-run single and Adam Duvall added an RBI single as the Reds won for the sixth time in seven games.
Didi Gregorius and Gary Sanchez homered for the Yankees, who saw their six-game winning streak snapped.
Rockies 10, Cubs 4 (Game 1)
DENVER — Mark Reynolds homered and drove in three runs as Colorado roughed up Chicago’s Jake Arrieta in the first game of a day-night doubleheader.
Ryan Hangian highlighted a six-run third with a three-run single and the Rockies scored four unearned runs following a throwing error by Cubs shortstop Javier Baez.
Arrieta allowed nine runs and nine runs (five earned) and 3 2/3 innings. It was his shortest outing since becoming a Cub.
Cardinals 6, Marlins 5
MIAMI — Pinch hitter Dexter Fowler hit the go-ahead single in the ninth inning as St. Louis rallied in the late innings to beat Miami.
Fowler’s hit gave the Cardinals an eighth straight road game and their 15th win in the last 20 games. Matt Adams and Jedd Gyorko added RBI singles for St. Louis.
Derek Dietrich had a two-run double and Justin Bour hit an RBI single in a four-run sixth for the Marlins. Miami manager Don Mattingly and center fielder Christian Yellich were ejected in the first inning for arguing a called third strike with plate umpire Andy Fletcher.

SAN DIEGO — A.J. Griffin pitched a four-hitter and Texas routed San Diego.
Griffin needed only 104 pitches to throw his second career complete-game shutout.
Ryan Rua and Joey Gallo homered off Jered Weaver, who allowed seven runs and six hits in three innings.
