Running back Darren McFadden tweeted Tuesday that he will remain with the Oakland Raiders.

McFadden signed a one-year, $4 million contract with the team, NFL.com reported.

“Glad to be back in black,” McFadden said on Twitter.

McFadden’s deal with the Raiders came after Rashad Jennings, the Raiders’ leading rusher last season with 733 yards, left via free agency and signed with the New York Giants.

The 26-year-old McFadden ran for 379 yards during an injury-plagued 2013 season, averaging 3.3 yards per carry.

McFadden was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2008 draft and rushed for 1,157 yards in 2010, but injuries have forced him to miss 29 games during his six-year career. He has never been able to play in more than 13 games in a season.

In addition to losing Jennings, offensive lineman Jared Veldheer and defensive end Lamarr Houston signed elsewhere as free agents.
