Magwood Catch in Final Minute Wins for Ball State

Week 6 … U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week” for Games of Oct. 4, 2025

Things had not started well for Ball State in the 2025 season and in its game against defending MAC champion Ohio University on Saturday, the matchup had gotten off to the same beginning. The Bobcats raced out to a 14-0 halftime lead and had the Cardinals back to the wall.

But, the Ball State offense and defense were up to the challenge. Its offense outgained Ohio 266-100 yards in the second half, but with just over a minute remaining, the Cardinals still trailed, 14-12.

With only 57 seconds left, that’s when receiver Qian Magwood and quarterback Kiael Kelly made the most important connection in the game. The ball was on the Bobcats’ 43-yard line.

That scoring catch by Magwood has been chosen as the U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish “Catch of the Week.”

For the game, Magwood had four receptions for 92 yards. including the winning score. Kelly passed for 185 yards including the game-winning throw and rand for 96 yards and another touchdown.

Remember … for the tailgate tent or the pre-game party, U. S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always “the winning catch.”
