Restricted free agent forward Tobias Harris re-signed with the Orlando Magic on Tuesday and free agent center Jason Smith signed a one-year deal.
The Magic also acquired a conditional future second-round draft pick from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for forward Maurice Harkless.
Harris started 63 games and played in 68 last season for the Magic, averaging a career-best 17.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.01 steals. Multiple media reports indicated that the 22-year-old’s contract was for four years and $64 million.
In 226 career regular-season games with the Milwaukee Bucks and Magic, Harris has averaged 12.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists. He was a first-round pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by Charlotte and went to the Magic in a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks on Feb. 21, 2013.
In 156 games for the Magic, Harris has averaged 16.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Smith played in all 82 games last season with the New York Knicks and started 31 starts, averaging 8.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists. Smith scored in double figures 29 times and had 20-plus points twice, including a season-high 25 points on Feb. 11 at Orlando.
Smith was drafted 20th overall by the Miami Heat in the 2007 NBA Draft. He has appeared in 413 career NBA regular-season games (96 starts) with Philadelphia, New Orleans and New York.
Harkless played in 45 games for the Magic last season and started four, averaging 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds. In 201 career games with the team, he has averaged 6.8 points and 3.5 rebounds.
