Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard has been selected for the cover of NBA Live 15 by EA Sports.
The video game company announced Monday that the latest NBA edition will be available Oct. 7 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Lillard, 24, was drafted sixth overall by Portland in 2012 out of Weber State. After winning Rookie of the Year in 2013, Lillard was named third team All-NBA last season and made his first All-Star appearance.
Lillard shared the news with a video he posted on Instagram. In the video, Lillard is holding a copy of the game.
“I am so honored and I am so blessed to be in this position,” Lillard said in the video. “I am thankful for EA Sports for making me the cover guy. It’s a long time coming, took a lot of hard work and it’s a dream come true.”
