The Golden State Warriors are one win away from claiming the NBA title for the 2014-15 season. Cleveland needs to win Tuesday night and then again on Friday to end decades of championship futility.
While fans are focused on the “now,” Las Vegas is looking to the future and on Monday, the Westgate LV SuperBook installed the Cavaliers as solid 9-4 favorites to win the title, next year.
The Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder are tied at 5-1 to win the crown.
SuperBook director, Jay Kornegay told CBSSports.com explained why the Cavs are the early, prohibitive favorite.
“You’re seeing what the Cavs are doing right now without their second- and third-best players. With LeBron James carrying the entire team on his back, they’re pushing the current best team to six or seven games in the NBA Finals.”
The Cavaliers are hoping to have a healthy Kyrie Irving back next season, as well as Kevin Love and Anderson Varajeo to bolster their roster.
