Free-agent first baseman Adam LaRoche agreed to a two-year, $24 million contract to stay with the Washington Nationals, ESPN reported Tuesday.
LaRoche’s contract includes $10 million this year, $12 million in 2014 and a $2 million mutual buyout option for 2015.

Earlier, LaRoche reportedly turned down a $13.3 million offer because he was seeking a three-year contract.
