The New York Knicks signed guard Ricky Ledo to a 10-day contract with Tim Hardaway Jr. (wrist) and Cleanthony Early (knee) battling injuries.

Ledo, 22, was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2013 draft and traded to the Dallas Mavericks. He appeared in 16 games for the Mavericks over the past two seasons while being shuttled between the NBA roster and the Texas Legends of the D-League. He was averaging 15.1 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Legends.

Ironically, the Mavericks waived Ledo in order to sign forward Amar’e Stoudemire, who had his contract bought out by the Knicks. New York had yet to fill Stoudemire’s roster spot until signing Ledo.
