The Sacramento Kings waived guard Wayne Ellington, who was acquired from the New York Knicks on Aug. 6 along with forward-center Jeremy Tyler and the Knicks’ 2016 second-round draft pick in exchange for forwards Quincy Acy and Travis Outlaw.
Ellington has averaged 6.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 312 career games through his first five NBA seasons.
