The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to release veteran safety Dawan Landry, ProFootballTalk.com reported Friday.
The move would allow the Jaguars to free up $1.45 million in cap space for 2013. Landry signed a five-year, $27 million contract in 2011 and was due $5.35 million this season.
Landry, 30, came to Jacksonville from the Baltimore Ravens in 2011. In two seasons with the Jaguars, Landry had three interceptions and 197 tackles.
A fifth-round draft pick by the Ravens in 2006, Landry began his career with five interceptions in his rookie season with Baltimore and had a career-high 111 tackles in 2010.
