Indians sign RH Myers

Right-handed pitcher Brett Myers reportedly has agreed to a one-year contract with the Cleveland Indians.

Monetary terms were unavailable, but the deal with include an option year, according to CBSSports.com.

It appears Myers will start next season for the Indians, who already have closer Chris Perez.

For the past two seasons Myers, who has a 97-93 career record, has been a reliever/closer. Last season, he split time between the Chicago White Sox and the Houston Astros, compiling a 3.51 ERA a 3-8 record and 19 saves in 70 games.

Myers has made 247 starts with a 4.27 ERA as a starter.
