Indians recall RHP Lowe, option LHP House


The Cleveland Indians recalled right-hander Mark Lowe and optioned left-hander T.J. House to Triple-A Columbus, the team announced Monday.

Lowe, 31, has spent most of the season with Columbus where he has compiled a mark of 1-1 with nine saves (10 chances) and a 3.48 ERA in 20 relief appearances over 20 2/3 innings. Since April 29, he owns an ERA of 0.79 over 11 1/3 innings.

Lowe, who was signed by Cleveland on April 3 as a minor league free agent, was with the Indians from May 22-June 1 when he posted a 2.08 ERA in four games over 4 1/3 innings.

House recorded a 4.88 ERA in six games, including five starts, over 27 2/3 innings with Cleveland in two stints.
