Heat sign G Johnson to 10-day contract

The Miami Heat signed guard Tyler Johnson to a 10-day contract on Monday.

Johnson has appeared in 13 games (all starts) for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA Development League this season, averaging 18.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 33.9 minutes.

Johnson, an undrafted 6-foot-3 guard out of Fresno State, was originally signed by the Heat on Aug. 7, 2014 and appeared in one preseason game, totaling 17 points, four rebounds, four steals and two assists. He was waived on Oct. 25.

Players may sign up to two 10-day contracts before they must be signed for the balance of the season or released.
