Harper to begin minor-league rehab Tuesday

Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper will start his minor league rehab stint on Tuesday with High-A Potomac, CSNWashington.com reported.

Harper is expected to play left field and play three innings in his first game action since May 26.

Harper, 20, has been sidelined with left knee bursitis.

Originally, Harper was not scheduled to begin his rehab assignment until Wednesday at the earliest, but a good batting practice session on Monday caused the Nationals to move up the timetable.

Harper could return to the Nationals lineup as soon as this weekend.
