Andres Torres returned to the San Francisco Giants Thursday, after agreeing to a one-year, $2 million guaranteed contract, according to CSN Bay Area.

The deal is pending a physical. Torres could platoon with Gregor Blanco in left field.

Torres, 34, played for the Giants from 2009-11, and had his best season in 2010, when he batted .268 with 16 homers, 43 doubles and 26 steals. He was dealt to the New York Mets for Angel Pagan last offseason, and hit .230 in 374 at-bats.

With the Giants, he’ll join an outfield that includes Pagan, Hunter Pence and Blanco.
