New York Giants safety Antrel Rolle was named to the Pro Bowl on Monday.

Rolle replaces Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas, who is playing in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2 at MetLife Stadium in Meadowlands, N.J.

The Pro Bowl is Sunday in Honolulu.

Rolle is headed to the Pro Bowl for the third time in his career. Rolle complained via Twitter in December when he was not initially named to the Pro Bowl roster.

“Tell me which safety has better numbers and made more game changing plays than me this year???? I’ll wait!!!! This probowl (expletive) is a joke,” Rolle wrote.

Rolle helped a Giants defense that improved in the second half of the season. The Giants finished 7-9 after a 0-6 start. Rolle started all 16 games, registered 98 tackles and making six interceptions.

Rolle has one more year left on his deal with the Giants. He accounts for a $9.25 million salary cap figure.
